҉    The first event we will invite you to is the traditionally established PechaKucha Night in Liberec. This is the tenth event in this serie, this time the topic is Seven Decades of Technology. This event is organized in cooperation with the Technical University of Liberec as part of the celebrations of the 70th anniversary of the Faculty of Engineering. You can look forward to diverse and striking lectures from academics, graduates and experts. The tenth PechaKucha Night will take place on the university campus on 11 May 2023.

҉    If you want to try a more sporty experience, you can sign up for the NN Night Run, which will be run on May 13. The traditional running event will take place in Liberec at the Vesec complex and you can choose from a variety of runs for recreational runners, including a children's race. The program also includes an AVON charity 5 km run in support of women fighting breast cancer.

҉    On 13 May tech-savvy individuals will also find something to enjoy, as one of the largest conferences in Czechoslovakia focused on cryptocurrencies - Cryptobyte 2023 - will be held in Liberec on this day. This conference will again be hosted by the Technical University of Liberec and at the G building you can look forward to the most famous names from the Czechoslovak crypto world, such as Jakub Vejmola, a.k.a. Kicom from the Bitcoinovej kanál, or analyst and economist Josef Tětek and many others.

҉    A week later on 19 May, the Museum Night under Ještěd will take place. Museums and galleries will once again open free to the public and visitors will be able to move between them by shuttle buses, which will be arranged by historic buses and also free of charge. This year's event is called "World in Motion" and a varied program will be prepared for both children and adults. Museum Night is a great way to visit multiple museums and galleries in one day and explore their current as well as permanent exhibitions that await you.

҉   On the same day, the Valdštejn festivities will also take place in Frýdlant, which will last until Sunday 21 May. A traditional marketplace awaits you, there will be a military camp and infirmary in the town park, and the staged battle itself will take place above Frýdlant on the meadow near the town hospital. There will also be an alchemist's workshop or guided tours in the Church of Nalezení sv. Kříže.

҉   On Sunday, 21 May, we have prepared a program for our little ones. The next edition of the event "With the family to Vesec" will take place from 10:00 to 18:00 and a day full of fun, music and attractions is waiting for you, especially for children, but also for parents. There will be sports clubs or special interest groups that might interest your children. Children will be able to try out all the sports disciplines themselves under expert supervision. Maybe your child will find a future hobby that you can't keep him or her away from.

҉   An event that you definitely shouldn't miss is the Liberec Majáles. The combination of good mood and music is traditionally associated with student celebrations of the arrival of May, hence the name of this festival, Majáles. The festival will feature performances by Liberec icons such as Paulie Garand or Jakub Děkan, but you can also look forward to the band UDG or the musician and stand-up comedian VOJTAANO. Grab your friends and head to this celebration of good weather, the arrival of May and tune in to the sunny summer that is already knocking on the door. The Liberec Majáles takes place on 26-27 May.
